The goddess NANSHE is a Sumerian divinity of the Mesopotamian mythology, the representative of social Justice and the protection of the abused Women and Children.

Violence against women is a pervasive and widespread issue that affects women across the world. It refers to any act of physical, sexual, psychological, or emotional harm inflicted on a woman without her consent.

This type of violence can take many forms, including domestic violence, sexual assault, rape, stalking, and human trafficking. It often goes unreported and is often committed by someone the victim knows, such as a partner, family member, or acquaintance.

Violence against women is a major violation of human rights, as it impacts a woman's physical and emotional well-being, as well as her ability to participate fully in society. It can also have long-term effects on the health, education, and economic opportunities of women and their families.

Efforts to address violence against women include implementing laws and policies to protect women, providing support services for victims, and raising awareness about the issue. However, much work still needs to be done to address this global issue and ensure that all women have the right to live free from violence.

Because it is estimated that 736 million women - or almost 1/3 - in the world have suffered at least once physical and/or sexual violence from an intimate partner, and/or sexual violence from another person, and that 80% of complaints are dismissed with only 1% of them resulting in a criminal conviction, and that more than 30% of students in the world have been victims of harassment, we are launching NanShe.
